Do you use Wellness dog food?
November 8th, 2009
I’m thinking about switching to wellness dog food. does anyone know how big the kibbles are of the puppy food? I have small breeds, and i need to make sure they are small enough. I need to switch my food because my kibbles are too big, and they don’t offer the food for small breeds. believe it or not, they actually make puppy foods with big kibbles… :S
Most of the types of pet supply stores that carry Wellness will have free samples. They’re usually bags that hold about a cup of food. You could check the kibble size that way.
Also, you could try emailing their customer service or calling them. Most premium pet food companies have excellent customer service.

Yes! My dogs love it. I don’t know the size of the puppy kibble, but I know the Wellness Small Breed is very small. About the circumference of a pea. The kibble is triangular shaped.

I don’t use wellness and don’t recommend it. I never looked at their puppy food but all of their adult foods are very low in protein and fat. I would be surprised if their puppy food is any better.

I will never buy dog food that I don’t personally make. Both my dogs are on the raw food diet and have been for 2 years now. I used to use a Wellness dogfood but it was just before the tainted dog food scandal and well yes my female had a reaction to the food and started loosing her hair..I switched because I had tried everything else and well now there is no trace their was even a problem. It’s extra effort but I know what my dogs are ingesting and they are healthy and happy and that is all that matters.
