i had two dogs with lots of allergies. The best solution we have found is the Prescription Diet brand of Salmon and Rice for sensitive stomachs and allergies. the biggest downside was really stinky fish breath.

do you know exactly what your dog is allergic to? Sometimes the allergy is to difficult-to -digest low-quality ingredients such as corn, wheat, soy, and meat by-products. If you are considering Wellness Simple Food Solutions, you are already on the right tract. Wellness uses only high-quality, human-grade ingredients without all the yucky stuff. I would also recommend trying Wellness Core. It is a new line of grain-free food from Wellness. It would be the best diet for a dog allergic to low-quality grains. I mix the Wellness Core kibbles with the Wellness 95% chicken canned food, and my dogs love it. My dogs love this food and are doing great on it. Whatever you do, stay away from low-quality brands like Science Diet Prescription Diet. Many people don't realize this, but that brand like many others, contain harmful preservatives like BHA, BHT and ethoxyquin that has been banned in human foods because they are known to cause cancer. Good luck.
