OK, has there been a recall on INNOVA dry DOG food?

June 11th, 2009

Someone just stated on Yahoo that there has been a recall. Is this at all true, and if so where can I read about it? This is such a high quality dog food I find it very hard to believe.

All I could come up with was an issue Natura had in 2007 when acetaminophen and cyanuric acid were found in some kibbles.

Other than that the pet food recall lists show that Innova is clear.

*Jeremy…you clearly don't know what you are talking about.

dont know but its not a high quality dog food just because the marketers say it is or because your dog likes it they will love it if it is sprayed with fat to make it taste and smell good

I\’ve been feeding innova evo to my dog since she was 12 weeks, she\’s now 3 and 1/2, I\’ve always trusted innova and my dog loved it. The last bag I bought, large kibble chicken, made her sick, the night after a first meal of the new batch she threw up and had a heavy diarrhea. At first I thought it might have been something she hate during one our walk in the park that day, but the next morning she simply refused to eat her food, (innova large bites chicken). I thought she still felt bad and just didn\’t want to eat. So I let her go without food for a day… quite her stomach a little and the next morning I put two bowls of food, innova (large bites chicken) in one, and another bran in the second…. Without hesitation she ate the new bran and stayed away from her usual food, innova (large bites chicken). I trust my dog, if she tells me that her food is not good, something must be wrong with the food. I hope we\’re an isolated case. But as i\’ve now read a couple of post were people were reporting similar symptoms, I\’m getting worried…. If anybody had a similar experience recently please post… thx

Tina

No recall on Innova or any Natura products (EVO, California Natural, Healthwise or Karma) but there have been recalls on NUTRO foods recently (too much of some vitamin or nutrient added) and others with similar names. (nature, natural, nutro, etc…)

Try http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com for review of foods. btw- they rate California Natural lower because it has LESS ingredients but it is made as such for pets with sensative digestive system or allergies! DUH dogfood people! :)
